Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but didn't know where else to post it. I love the look of TV shows in 1080i - including Arrow, Sleepy Hollow, Spartacus, Breaking Bad, amongst others. The picture looks clear, sharp and you actually feel like you are watching in HD because you can see all the detail in the picture. I have seen many Blu-Ray in 1080p through my PS3 and am almost always disappointed in the clarity. The only movie which compared with the aforementioned TV shows was the Dark Knight. That looked incredible. Most movies just look ok in comparison - and I really don't like the movie…

Samsung's standalone Gear S smartwatch will launch in the United States starting November 7, but the service won't come cheap. Unlike Samsung's other smartwatches, the Gear S can make calls, send text messages and access the Internet without a paired smartphone. As such, wireless carriers are treating it like any other connected device, with its own service plan. AT&T and Sprint are both charging $10 monthly access fees for Gear S service, though Sprint says it will waive the charge through December 2015 if you have a shared data plan with at least 20 GB. Those plans will tap into users'…

But with proper care, a laptop battery can still carry a sufficient charge until you're ready to move on to a better laptop. But it's a tradeoff. Taking the best care of your laptop battery just may be more of a hassle than it's worth. [Have a tech question? Ask PCWorld Contributing Editor Lincoln Spector. Confirming its own estimates from earlier this month, Samsung announced tonight that it accumulated an operating profit of $3.9 billion in Q3. That's not a bad haul for most companies in the July to September period, but last year Samsung proudly celebrated a record profit of $9.6 billion and now it's down to less than half that. Now the company is breaking down the reasons behind the drop, and everything starts with the flagship Galaxy S smartphones. You'll have to watch in Chrome at HD resolution, and the content providers naturally have to upload 60FPS content in the first place. Provided all the stars align, though, you're in for a good time -- it's not often…
